Description

Over the last decade changes to the health care landscape, including the formation of accountable care organizations and new payment models, have placed higher demands on case managers. The U.S. health care system is experiencing a critical workforce shortage of nurse case managers. This quality improvement project aimed to develop an online case manager preceptor training program and examine its impact on the nurse case manager preceptors' self-efficacy. This translational research study evaluated an online preceptor training program and had favorable results with positive implications for nurse case manager training practices.
