Description
In contrast to IgE-mediated food allergies, non-IgE-mediated food allergies do not present with the threat of anaphylaxis. In addition, most non-IgE-mediated food allergies have a good prognosis, with the majority outgrown in childhood, However, they can have a significant impact on both physical and mental health. A detailed clinical history and an elimination diet are often the key to diagnosis. Celiac disease is the exception in that there are tests to confirm that diagnosis.Learning Objectives
