To keep the CCM credentialing examination evidence-based and valid, the CCMC regularly conducts a role and function study. This article, the second of a two part series, explains the data analysis and findings of the latest role and function study. Significant findings include the increase in importance of the domains of quality management and ethical/legal practice. The findings are also used to develop the content and composition of the CCM certification examination.

To provide information about the national role and function study done to identify the essential activities and necessary knowledge areas for the Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification examination.
