Purpose of Activity

The purpose of this course will include a discussion the importance of engagement in the work place outcomes such as morale, safety, cost and quality.

Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. Review the importance of fostering a culture of engagement among staff to prevent burnout, improve retention, and combat isolation and loneliness among staff and residents.
  2. Identify strategies to combat burnout, promote engagement, and build resiliency among staff by promoting autonomy, professional development, and social support.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, 75% of participants will demonstrate knowledge about the impact of burnout on retention and build resiliency achieving 70% or greater on the posttest.
