This learning activity presents how to perform an advanced respiratory assessment and identify complex breath sounds. While there is some review of basic voice and breath sounds, the learner is encouraged to review the course Breath Sounds, Basic for more fundamental assessment information.Learning Objectives

- Describe the steps involved in respiratory assessment.
- Identify normal breath sounds and distinguish voice sounds.
- Differentiate advanced abnormal and adventitious breath sounds.
