Description

This learning activity discusses cystic fibrosis (CF) in adults. Although most patients with CF are diagnosed during early childhood, some are diagnosed in adolescence or adulthood. Additionally, patients with CF are living longer because of new therapies. This learning activity provides an overview of CF in adults, focusing on complications associated with CF and treatments to manage these complications.

Learning Objectives

After completing this continuing education activity you will be able to:

  1. explain the transmission and pathophysiology of CF.
  2. describe diagnostic tests for CF in adults.
  3. discuss treatment options and potential complications for adults with CF.

Learning Outcomes
