This learning activity consists of the 5 articles from the Topics in Language Disorders journal's October-December 2022 issue. These articles provide speech-language pathologists (SLPs) with information about the importance of interventions for increasing pediatric patient vocabulary. The program identifies benefits of incorporating multi-media as a method for vocabulary acquisition and examines the teacher's role in vocabulary intervention. Long-term effects of targeted, sustained vocabulary interventions in young children are discussed.
