  2. Analyze caregiver perceptions of discharge teaching using the framework of the IDEAL strategy.
  3. Select postdischarge complications related to caregiver knowledge gaps.

Learning Outcomes

Seventy-five percent of participants will be able to demonstrate knowledge on implications for transitions from hospital to home by including caregivers in IDEAL discharge teaching by achieving a posttest score of 70% or greater.
